On May 12th, Supernova Companies announced Mike Jackson as chief financial officer. Jackson joined Supernova in August 2016 as executive vice president of capital markets.

“In a short time, Mike has played an integral role in shaping our capital structure and has proven why he is the ideal fit to guide our key financial decisions going forward,” said Tom Anderson, founder and CEO of Supernova. “Mike has the right blend of knowledge and experience to lead us at a pivotal time as some of the world’s largest financial institutions begin leveraging our technology and expertise.”

Jackson’s experience in finance and capital markets can be traced back two decades. He joined Supernova from Brookfield Investment Management in New York. As a director in the investment management group, Jackson spent 12 years focused on trading, research, and surveillance of asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities. Prior to Brookfield, he held investment banking positions at JPMorgan Chase, WestLB, and Prudential Securities, where he executed securitizations across a variety of asset types. Jackson has a B.A. from Yale University.

“I am thrilled for the opportunity to serve as Supernova’s chief financial officer,” said Jackson. “We have developed an incredible platform that is already shifting the landscape of securities-based lending in the industry. I look forward to working alongside Tom and the team to continue building on that momentum and moving us closer to our vision of lowering borrowing costs for everyone.”
